Our story
At BOOST Bookkeeping Ltd., our focus is on creating simplicity for our clients through the use of virtual tools. We run on Quickbooks Online (QBO) and provide our clients with a subscription to Hubdoc so they may upload source documents (receipts, invoices, statements, etc) easily and on the go! This saves our clients valuable time by not having to sort papers, drive to our office for drop-off/pick-up, or waste any more time searching for a lost receipt.
Our physical office is located in Oakville, Ontario but we can easily service any Canadian small business through the use of virtual software.
BOOST Bookkeeping Ltd. initially began in 2016 as a virtual assistance (VA) company called Back Office Online Support Team (BOOST) which specialized in marketing, sales, administration, and of course, bookkeeping services for brand new start-ups.
Evidently, the direction of company naturally changed and the primary focus became more financially centred.
It was soon decided, to step away from VA services to focus solely on activities surrounding bookkeeping. By 2017, the company became BOOST Bookkeeping, and was officially incorporated in March of 2018.
Jessie Manuel, CPB
Jessie is the founder and primary bookkeeper of BOOST Bookkeeping Ltd. With over 15 years experience in customer service, sales, marketing, technical support, and accounting, Jessie is a natural born and well-balanced entrepreneur.
In 2010, Jessie began her accounting studies at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. In 2013, she graduated with honours and continued her studies with CGA. While working for both a public accounting firm and also a private corporation, she studied numerous courses with CGA before realizing she no longer wished to work in a corporate setting. Switching gears, Jessie created two successful companies – a professional organizing business as well as a virtual assistance company, Back Office Online Support Team (mentioned above), and has not looked back since.
With a knack for numbers coupled with her artistic side, Jessie is a well-rounded and relatable business owner who thoroughly enjoys seeing her clients prosper.
Jessie is a recognized Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) through the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (IPBC). She is also certified in Quickbooks Online.
